Artwork Submission Guidelines
To ensure your designs translate beautifully into finished packaging, here are our guidelines for submitting artwork. When your artwork is ready, email it to design@coloradolabel.com (Large files can be transferred via www.WeTransfer.com) and our team will review it promptly. For every project, an electronic proof will be emailed to you for approval before moving forward.
File Type
Save and export graphic files as Adobe Illustrator files whenever possible. We use Mac computers and subscribe to the current Adobe Cloud Design Suite.
Photo Images
Save photo images as CMYK color mode and 300 ppi at final size.
.psd, .tif, and/or .jpg files work best, although we can accommodate other files types.
Typography
Please avoid creating type in “photo” programs (i.e.: Photoshop, Paint, etc.) as the quality
will not be sufficient
Link Photos
Link photos in Adobe Illustrator and send ALL Photoshop placed files
with the artwork package.
Fonts
Include ALL fonts and/or turn ALL fonts to outlines.
Avoid Website .jpg Files
Avoid .jpg files taked from websites. They are usually very low resolution,
and are not suitable for high quality printing.
Include a Low-Res PDF Proof
Please include a Low-Res PDF proof of the project.
Die Sizes
Please ask us: we might already have the die size in stock that you need,
or something close to it. We can also create unique die sizes and shapes if desired.
